Client: Bradley Stoke Town Council, Bristol

Challenge: Purchase a vehicle for the maintenance department to visit a number of sites in a local area. The vehicle should be inexpensive to buy, be small and compact for easy storage, satisfy eco criteria where possible, be from a trusted maunufacturer with low operating costs and be easy to drive.

Solution: Following a number of trials including an electric vehicle the clear winner satisfying as much of the brief as possible was our Piaggio D3 Cargo. The easy maintenance 395cc diesel has very low emissions whilst having plenty of power to carry around a heavy toolchest up and down hills. The potential 100mpg will make for very low running costs. The custom weatherpack will keep the driver protected from any cold winds and the standard 12volt socket in the front can be used for any further options inclding heater or satnav etc..
